An issue which has been clouding my mind of late is one that has so many flaws. The issue being that there are so many people in the entertainment industry who simply have their own direct intentions, main point being that they simply are after your business and nothing else. Money does make the world go round but is also the root of all evil.
Whatever happened to the love of the music and the passion inside to spread it? There are so many so-called promotional crews out there that indicate that they are on a national basis but are so consumed by themselves not realising the flaws they display. Why should any individual crew/team indicate that they are country wide when all which they try to do is market themselves and their team individually. A facade or even a front to utilise marketing tac tic's to draw in the consumer. So many of these teams will also come and go like the wind and not many withstand the test of time. Others do continue but thinking that by changing their name would justify a kind of rebirth. Greed has gotten to them by allowing their pockets to take over their "indicated" love for what they do.
I've even had an instance where a poll was placed out there to try and see if there was a particular music trend within which they should be following and the poll simply was a "yes" or even a "no" in regards to one of my mixtapes. Understandably, if you are trying to do research for your concept, please do, but should it be at the discrimination of others who work for what they have and show it? The poll itself turned out to be a positive factor but is that a just thing to do?
There is also the stunted marketing techniques of those with limited options and funds. Should these people be in the industry if they can not support this at all? How many "ladie's nights" can there be? Do you really think it is original or a ploy that you believe would actually get the ladie's in by using them terms? Does the term "Official" really mean anything anymore these days?
